Ah yes: The USDA spends $5.3 million to back a dairy group promoting more (and more) cheese consumption. Same group pushes sketchy ‘research’ showing that dairy promotes weight loss, even as other (non-sketchy) studies demonstrate that most of Americans’ excess saturate fat intake comes from cheese.
And what does the USDA spend on nutrition education?
$6.5 million.
